Maurer United made a design to covert the former original monumental beer brewery of Gulpener Beer into the brewery's visitor's centre. The visitor's centre offers a bar serving 16 different self-brewed beers on tap, a library/study room with books on brewing, a basement filled with special beer samples, an information centre (video-presentation), a gift shop is and a small brewery for groups to brew their own samples. The heart of the visitor's centre forms a pub hosting 120 guests, along with a contemporary 'Biergarten' outside. The visitor's centre is heated by surplus energy of the neighboring large-scale brewery.
