MU Bowl (2002).

In cooperation with local skaters and the Eindhoven University of Technology, the MU Bowl has been developed. This skating facility is a wooden ‘pool’; a three dimensional, curved landscape that challenges people to skate on it. The pool was designed during a participation proces, that was set up by Maurer United Architects. The project resulted into Europe’s largest wooden skate pool, which attracts skaters from around the world. For strategic reasons the pool has been relocated to a large redevelopment site in Eindhoven, where it is once more a magnet for skaters.
