The city of Aachen chose a location opposite the city’s theatre, which is built in classical style, as the place for a temporary information pavilion. The temporary pavilion, which has concrete floors, was erected for a period of one year. The internal and external walls were plastered and rendered respectively after assembly. As well as this, the windows were hidden behind laser cut, polyester cladding that generates exceptional incidence of light in the voids that are two stories high in some parts. The contemporary building displays an unusual character and provides a harmonious contrast with the theatre and surrounding buildings.
